Allen and Mark had the hot water going for coffee by 5:30am. I got out of camp early too because I wanted to ride around downtown a bit and see some of the places we visited last July on our Banff-Whitefish bike trip. Interesting art scattered around town . . .<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/travels.wohu.us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/nr18002.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"nr18002\" style=\"border-left-width: 0px; border-right-width: 0px; background-image: none; border-bottom-width: 0px; padding-top: 0px; padding-left: 0px; margin: 0px; display: inline; padding-right: 0px; border-top-width: 0px\" border=\"0\" alt=\"nr18002\" src=\"https:\/\/travels.wohu.us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/nr18002_thumb.jpg\" width=\"1004\" height=\"689\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>. . and here was our favorite ice cream shop . . . I think we went there both of our overnights last year.&nbsp; Not open until 11:00am today!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/travels.wohu.us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/nr18003.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"nr18003\" style=\"border-left-width: 0px; border-right-width: 0px; background-image: none; border-bottom-width: 0px; padding-top: 0px; padding-left: 0px; margin: 0px; display: inline; padding-right: 0px; border-top-width: 0px\" border=\"0\" alt=\"nr18003\" src=\"https:\/\/travels.wohu.us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/nr18003_thumb.jpg\" width=\"1004\" height=\"784\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Soon it was time to head from Whitefish to Glacier National Park, our home for the next two nights. Interesting way the Whitefishonians try to disguise their cell phone towers with fake branches. Wonder if they put lights on it at Christmas time!!!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/travels.wohu.us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/nr18004.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"nr18004\" style=\"border-left-width: 0px; border-right-width: 0px; background-image: none; border-bottom-width: 0px; padding-top: 0px; padding-left: 0px; display: inline; padding-right: 0px; border-top-width: 0px\" border=\"0\" alt=\"nr18004\" src=\"https:\/\/travels.wohu.us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/nr18004_thumb.jpg\" width=\"1004\" height=\"587\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Along the way to Glacier there was this artesian well . . . but I don\u2019t think any of us took a chance&nbsp; drinking from it !!!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/travels.wohu.us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/nr18005.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"nr18005\" style=\"border-left-width: 0px; border-right-width: 0px; background-image: none; border-bottom-width: 0px; padding-top: 0px; padding-left: 0px; margin: 0px; display: inline; padding-right: 0px; border-top-width: 0px\" border=\"0\" alt=\"nr18005\" src=\"https:\/\/travels.wohu.us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/nr18005_thumb.jpg\" width=\"1004\" height=\"754\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>More interesting art along the way&nbsp; . . . but no chickens!!!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/travels.wohu.us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/nr18006.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"nr18006\" style=\"border-left-width: 0px; border-right-width: 0px; background-image: none; border-bottom-width: 0px; padding-top: 0px; padding-left: 0px; margin: 0px; display: inline; padding-right: 0px; border-top-width: 0px\" border=\"0\" alt=\"nr18006\" src=\"https:\/\/travels.wohu.us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/nr18006_thumb.jpg\" width=\"1004\" height=\"438\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>We crossed a bridge over an interesting crossroads, where thee North Fork and the Middle for of the Flathead River come together. The Middle Fork , on the left, had a much more blue turquoise color.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/travels.wohu.us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/nr18007.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"nr18007\" style=\"border-left-width: 0px; border-right-width: 0px; background-image: none; border-bottom-width: 0px; padding-top: 0px; padding-left: 0px; margin: 0px; display: inline; padding-right: 0px; border-top-width: 0px\" border=\"0\" alt=\"nr18007\" src=\"https:\/\/travels.wohu.us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/nr18007_thumb.jpg\" width=\"1004\" height=\"478\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>. . . with some geological action too, right around one of the bends.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/travels.wohu.us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/nr18008.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"nr18008\" style=\"border-left-width: 0px; border-right-width: 0px; background-image: none; border-bottom-width: 0px; padding-top: 0px; padding-left: 0px; margin: 0px; display: inline; padding-right: 0px; border-top-width: 0px\" border=\"0\" alt=\"nr18008\" src=\"https:\/\/travels.wohu.us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/nr18008_thumb.jpg\" width=\"1004\" height=\"235\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>As we neared Glacier we were able to see some snow capped mountains again. First ones we have seen since he Cascades!!! Nice.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/travels.wohu.us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/nr18009.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"nr18009\" style=\"border-left-width: 0px; border-right-width: 0px; background-image: none; border-bottom-width: 0px; padding-top: 0px; padding-left: 0px; margin: 0px; display: inline; padding-right: 0px; border-top-width: 0px\" border=\"0\" alt=\"nr18009\" src=\"https:\/\/travels.wohu.us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/nr18009_thumb.jpg\" width=\"1004\" height=\"648\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The final four miles into West Glacier had a bike path which was really nice to get us off of Hwy 2. Allison had already called ahead and made our reservations. Only $5\/night per adult, good deal. But NO SHOWERS anywhere in the park. Some are talking about jumping in the lake!!! Jennifer, the Ranger Lady as we called her, stopped by to make sure we were settled in OK.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/travels.wohu.us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/nr18016.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"nr18016\" style=\"border-left-width: 0px; border-right-width: 0px; background-image: none; border-bottom-width: 0px; padding-top: 0px; padding-left: 0px; margin: 0px; display: inline; padding-right: 0px; border-top-width: 0px\" border=\"0\" alt=\"nr18016\" src=\"https:\/\/travels.wohu.us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/nr18016_thumb.jpg\" width=\"1004\" height=\"771\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>She was very chatty and welcoming. As season campground host that is what she does!
