In the morning, Rick followed his usual routine, getting up at 5:30 a.m. Off he went to the expansive buffet breakfast. He texted MJ this photo to help wake her up\u2026but then he had to go to the room to roust her. She made it to the breakfast before it closed at 10:30 thank goodness!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/travels.wohu.us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/day02_03.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1004\" height=\"632\" title=\"day02_03\" style=\"margin: 0px; display: inline; background-image: none;\" alt=\"day02_03\" src=\"https:\/\/travels.wohu.us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/day02_03_thumb.jpg\" border=\"0\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Flashback to our arrival at the airport, where the Novotel staff provided shuttle service to the hotel. This&nbsp; hotel is extremely convenient: close to the airport so you can walk through an underground tunnel&nbsp; or shuttle back and forth; five restaurants to choose from; pool ; spa; fitness center; shopping; what more could you want?!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/travels.wohu.us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/day02_04.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1004\" height=\"565\" title=\"day02_04\" style=\"margin: 0px; display: inline; background-image: none;\" alt=\"day02_04\" src=\"https:\/\/travels.wohu.us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/day02_04_thumb.jpg\" border=\"0\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Our day today was composed of exploring the hotel; napping; and eating. Here is the pool, with the swim-up bar tiki hut. <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/travels.wohu.us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/day02_05.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1004\" height=\"790\" title=\"day02_05\" style=\"margin: 0px; display: inline; background-image: none;\" alt=\"day02_05\" src=\"https:\/\/travels.wohu.us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/day02_05_thumb.jpg\" border=\"0\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>We weren\u2019t suited up for a swim, but it is always time to enjoy a refreshing brew! Singha, a Thai beer, on tap! <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/travels.wohu.us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/day02_06.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1004\" height=\"644\" title=\"day02_06\" style=\"margin: 0px; display: inline; background-image: none;\" alt=\"day02_06\" src=\"https:\/\/travels.wohu.us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/day02_06_thumb.jpg\" border=\"0\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>We ordered appetizers, wonton-wrapped shrimp, all neatly tied up with a seaweed strip!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/travels.wohu.us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/day02_07.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1004\" height=\"772\" title=\"day02_07\" style=\"margin: 0px; display: inline; background-image: none;\" alt=\"day02_07\" src=\"https:\/\/travels.wohu.us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/day02_07_thumb.jpg\" border=\"0\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Rick insisted that we dine at the sports bar, aptly named \u201cTouchdown.\u201d We sat outdoors, and enjoyed beers that were much larger than we had anticipated!&nbsp; <\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/travels.wohu.us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/day02_09.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1004\" height=\"651\" title=\"day02_09\" style=\"display: inline; background-image: none;\" alt=\"day02_09\" src=\"https:\/\/travels.wohu.us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/day02_09_thumb.jpg\" border=\"0\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>All day in the hotel we had noticed ads for Touchdown\u2019s blackened salmon burger. And we wondered, why is the bun so dark? Is it burned? Not to worry; it was dark due to squid ink used in the bread dough! And it was tasty, served along with curly fries. Yum!
