{"id":12400,"date":"2017-08-19T04:40:58","date_gmt":"2017-08-19T09:40:58","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.wohutravels.us\/?p=12400"},"modified":"2019-03-26T10:06:59","modified_gmt":"2019-03-26T15:06:59","slug":"day-69-niagara-on-layover-day","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/travels.wohu.us\/?p=12400","title":{"rendered":"Day 69, Niagara, ON &ndash; layover day"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>It was raining when we arrived yesterday so everyone who had wet tent fly&#8217;s. crammed them into the only dry spot on our deck . . .&nbsp; and it worked, everything dried.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/travels.wohu.us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/3-3.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"3\" style=\"border-left-width: 0px; border-right-width: 0px; background-image: none; border-bottom-width: 0px; padding-top: 0px; padding-left: 0px; display: inline; padding-right: 0px; border-top-width: 0px\" border=\"0\" alt=\"3\" src=\"https:\/\/travels.wohu.us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/3_thumb-1.jpg\" width=\"1004\" height=\"611\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Today would be the regular \u2018day off\u2019 with laundry, bike maintenance, shopping, a ride on the \u2018Maid of the Mist\u2019 boat tour (been there, done that) and just relaxing. <\/p>\n<p>Barring the mileage from yesterday, we will \u2018average\u2019 50 miles a&nbsp; day or less for the rest of the trip. Of course, some of the shorter days will be because we will be back climbing mountains. This time on the east coast!!!!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/travels.wohu.us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/1-3.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"1\" style=\"border-left-width: 0px; border-right-width: 0px; background-image: none; border-bottom-width: 0px; padding-top: 0px; padding-left: 0px; display: inline; padding-right: 0px; border-top-width: 0px\" border=\"0\" alt=\"1\" src=\"https:\/\/travels.wohu.us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/1_thumb-2.jpg\" width=\"704\" height=\"568\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Oh yeah, and a day off usually involves food we really can\u2019t get on our regular \u2018working days\u2019. Most of the gang visited a local steakhouse on Thursday night and I can testify the NY Strip was EXCELLENT!!!! <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/travels.wohu.us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/2-3.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"2\" style=\"border-left-width: 0px; border-right-width: 0px; background-image: none; border-bottom-width: 0px; padding-top: 0px; padding-left: 0px; display: inline; padding-right: 0px; border-top-width: 0px\" border=\"0\" alt=\"2\" src=\"https:\/\/travels.wohu.us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/2_thumb-2.jpg\" width=\"704\" height=\"621\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>. . . after dinner Hugh, Rod and I visited the local gelatoria for a little dessert. Cookies and Cream never tasted so good. And that was a \u2018single\u2019!!!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/travels.wohu.us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/5-2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"5\" style=\"border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; padding-top: 0px; padding-left: 0px; border-left: 0px; display: inline; padding-right: 0px\" border=\"0\" alt=\"5\" src=\"https:\/\/travels.wohu.us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/5_thumb.jpg\" width=\"704\" height=\"529\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Friday night a group of us went for Japanese . . .
