(but they did have Dew Worms) taste like chicken!!!!!<\/p>\n . . . first warning sign I have seen for ice coming off wind generators. Probably not a good place to be anywhere near one of the in the winter. WONDER WHAT THE \u2018THROWING RADIUS\u2019 MIGHT BE\u201d!!!<\/p>\n Great draw bridge along the way today. Hugh saw it fully retracted,when he rode by, letting a freighter slip out into Lake Erie . . . <\/p>\n . . . they REALLY mark the RR crossing in some areas for bicyclists\u2019 . . . <\/p>\n . . . this one really ended up being no big deal. You can see Good Mike up ahead.<\/p>\n . . . today we would be on a trail system for much of the afternoon keeping us out of urban traffic as we bike trough Port Erie and into Niagara, ON. Paved and very few bicyclists\u2019 along the way . . . <\/p>\n . . . downside, LOTS of crossings creating bumps for those with loaded bikes. Had a headache by the time we were done from the constant \u2018thumping\u2019.<\/p>\n . . . looking for \u2018simple accommodations\u2019, you might want to consider . . . <\/p>\n . . . with the adjoining landscape business. \u2018Turn yer Haven into a Heaven\u2019!!!!<\/p>\n . . . great name of a little burg we passed through . . . <\/p>\n . . .now this was one BIG hay barn.You could stack em\u2019 8-10 high!!!<\/p>\n . . . soon we entered the greater Niagara area . . . <\/p>\n . . cutesy restaurants and shops began popping up. Looking at this authentic \u2018prop\u2019 outside this restaurant, it\u2019s hard to believe the capacity of this lifeboat is 39 people!!!! Hopefully no on ever needed to use it.<\/p>\n . . . as we neared Fort Erie, there right across the water was Buffalo, NY . . . almost within spittin\u2019 distance . . . <\/p>\n . . . but we stayed on our side of the river and proceeded along the Niagara Pkwy . . . many, many nice homes along the way . . .<\/p>\n . . . with more being built. Some are . . . \u2018doing quite well in todays economy, thank you\u2019 !!!<\/p>\n . . . soon on the horizon appeared Niagara, ON . . . <\/p>\n . . . and the headwaters of the Falls. UNBELIEVABLE the speed of he water . . . 600,000 gallons of water flow over the falls EVERY SECOND!!!!!<\/p>\n . . . and to think a 63 year old woman, a teacher from Bay City, went over the Falls in a barrel and survived. I can still remember staying at Sully\u2019s Sunbeam Motel!!!!<\/p>\n Snaren and Roxanne, Looks like they were still in business in 1972!!!!<\/p>\n . . . the American side of the falls is definitely not as impressive as the Canadian side . . . <\/p>\n . . . after a little more touring around it was time to land at the Air BnB we have rented for the next two days. Three levels, 10 bedrooms and three baths . . .
