The rest dwindled in until about 8:00am. So far Best Westerns seem to have very competitive rates AND a really nice breakfast spread. Eggs, sausages, toast, waffles, potatoes&#8217;, biscuits and gravy . . .\u00a0 the whole works! As much as you care to eat!!!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/travels.wohu.us\/wp-content\/uploads\/st\/03\/1000.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"background-image: none; padding-top: 0px; padding-left: 0px; margin: 0px; display: inline; padding-right: 0px; border-width: 0px;\" title=\"1000\" src=\"https:\/\/travels.wohu.us\/wp-content\/uploads\/st\/03\/1000_thumb.jpg\" alt=\"1000\" width=\"1004\" height=\"566\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>We finally all assembled in the parking lot about 10:00am. We can&#8217;t get into the motel in El Paso until 2:00pm so there is really no rush today.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/travels.wohu.us\/wp-content\/uploads\/st\/03\/1002.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"background-image: none; padding-top: 0px; padding-left: 0px; margin: 0px; display: inline; padding-right: 0px; border-width: 0px;\" title=\"1002\" src=\"https:\/\/travels.wohu.us\/wp-content\/uploads\/st\/03\/1002_thumb.jpg\" alt=\"1002\" width=\"1004\" height=\"542\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Here is a nice place for sale on the outskirts of Las Cruces. They make a BIG deal down here about homes having solar system&#8217;s. Cheap electricity!!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/travels.wohu.us\/wp-content\/uploads\/st\/03\/1003.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"background-image: none; padding-top: 0px; padding-left: 0px; margin: 0px; display: inline; padding-right: 0px; border-width: 0px;\" title=\"1003\" src=\"https:\/\/travels.wohu.us\/wp-content\/uploads\/st\/03\/1003_thumb.jpg\" alt=\"1003\" width=\"1004\" height=\"530\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Looks like a nice local winery\u00a0 . . . to bad its not the weekend when the tasting room is open!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/travels.wohu.us\/wp-content\/uploads\/st\/03\/1004.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"background-image: none; padding-top: 0px; padding-left: 0px; margin: 0px; display: inline; padding-right: 0px; border-width: 0px;\" title=\"1004\" src=\"https:\/\/travels.wohu.us\/wp-content\/uploads\/st\/03\/1004_thumb.jpg\" alt=\"1004\" width=\"1004\" height=\"555\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>More pecan planation&#8217;s. We have ridden by them continuously since we hit the Rio Grande at Lake Carroll. Greenest yard, hedge and flower beds we have seen since CA. They must REALLY pour on the water!!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/travels.wohu.us\/wp-content\/uploads\/st\/03\/1012.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"background-image: none; padding-top: 0px; padding-left: 0px; margin: 0px; display: inline; padding-right: 0px; border-width: 0px;\" title=\"1012\" src=\"https:\/\/travels.wohu.us\/wp-content\/uploads\/st\/03\/1012_thumb.jpg\" alt=\"1012\" width=\"1004\" height=\"557\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>We soon passed into Texas, although never saw a \u2018Welcome to Texas\u2019 sign.Time for lunch so we stopped at Emiliano\u2019s. It was the REAL thing and VERY busy . . .<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/travels.wohu.us\/wp-content\/uploads\/st\/03\/1013.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"background-image: none; padding-top: 0px; padding-left: 0px; margin: 0px; display: inline; padding-right: 0px; border-width: 0px;\" title=\"1013\" src=\"https:\/\/travels.wohu.us\/wp-content\/uploads\/st\/03\/1013_thumb.jpg\" alt=\"1013\" width=\"1004\" height=\"638\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>. . . menu was in Spanish so I ordered a picadillo burrito. Since they were only $2, I thought they would be small so ordered two. Big\u00a0 mistake . . . TOO much food (although I did eat them both)!!!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/travels.wohu.us\/wp-content\/uploads\/st\/03\/1014.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"background-image: none; padding-top: 0px; padding-left: 0px; margin: 0px; display: inline; padding-right: 0px; border-width: 0px;\" title=\"1014\" src=\"https:\/\/travels.wohu.us\/wp-content\/uploads\/st\/03\/1014_thumb.jpg\" alt=\"1014\" width=\"1004\" height=\"512\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>El Paso county and city have a nice 6 mile bike\u00a0 path along the Rio Grande that we took to Mesa Ave, the location of our motel for tonight.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/travels.wohu.us\/wp-content\/uploads\/st\/03\/1015.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"background-image: none; padding-top: 0px; padding-left: 0px; margin: 0px; display: inline; padding-right: 0px; border-width: 0px;\" title=\"1015\" src=\"https:\/\/travels.wohu.us\/wp-content\/uploads\/st\/03\/1015_thumb.jpg\" alt=\"1015\" width=\"1004\" height=\"655\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>At one of the road crossings was this cute vet supply van waiting for a train to cross. Great marketing . . .<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/travels.wohu.us\/wp-content\/uploads\/st\/03\/1016.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"background-image: none; padding-top: 0px; padding-left: 0px; margin: 0px; display: inline; padding-right: 0px; border-width: 0px;\" title=\"1016\" src=\"https:\/\/travels.wohu.us\/wp-content\/uploads\/st\/03\/1016_thumb.jpg\" alt=\"1016\" width=\"1004\" height=\"478\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>You might think this was a large field on our ride into town but it is the Rio Grande river bed. Diana, thanks for the restaurant tip!! Soon it was the bewitching hour of 9:00am and about bed time. We bid Laurel, Ruth and Mark a good bye and were tucked in bed by 9:30pm. Thanks to them for being such great hosts in El Paso.
