First rain we have had since Washington state. FUN!!!<\/p>\n<p>It would have been a shame to leave Bismarck without seeing the State Capital. Rod, Doc Mike, David and I decided to head back downtown and tour the facility.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/travels.wohu.us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/nr3801.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"nr3801\" style=\"border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; padding-top: 0px; padding-left: 0px; margin: 0px; border-left: 0px; display: inline; padding-right: 0px\" border=\"0\" alt=\"nr3801\" src=\"https:\/\/travels.wohu.us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/nr3801_thumb.jpg\" width=\"1004\" height=\"698\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>As we rolled out of General Sibley Campground we came upon what we in the forestry business call . . . a severe pruning job. Yikes!!!!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/travels.wohu.us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/nr3802.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"nr3802\" style=\"border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; padding-top: 0px; padding-left: 0px; margin: 0px; border-left: 0px; display: inline; padding-right: 0px\" border=\"0\" alt=\"nr3802\" src=\"https:\/\/travels.wohu.us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/nr3802_thumb.jpg\" width=\"1004\" height=\"519\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Still cloudy this morning because of the storm but there was this shaft of light shining through a hole in the cloud. I struck off to retrace the route I had taken to the Capital and in the gutter near the RR Republican Center lay my Croc. Yippee . . . There didn\u2019t seem to be any crops around. Hwy 83 didn\u2019t seem like much of a Memorial Highway to honor one of the most famous North Dakotans.
